My personal work pulls from a lifelong obsession with American illustration and animation R. Crumb's underground irreverence, the character design precision of Disney Legends Milt Kahl and Marc Davis, the anarchic timing of Tex Avery, the deceptively simple line economy of Matt Groening. These aren't passing references. They're the foundation of how I think about drawing, character, and storytelling, and they show up in everything I make.

The practice spans digital illustration, marker, pencil, and watercolor with a particular devotion to watercolor and Micron pen work that demands a different kind of patience than screen based design. Subject matter ranges from retro cartoon aesthetics and vintage Americana to pop culture and social commentary, with humor running throughout. Typography is treated as an equal element of every composition smoke-formed lettering, blackletter, hand drawn display type that earns its place in the image rather than sitting on top of it.

In 2023 this work was exhibited in a group art show in Los Angeles hosted by ISM Publishing, where an original watercolor piece sold. A small moment and a meaningful one a reminder that the work has a life beyond the commercial context it usually lives in.
